Honestly, this is such a great reel. I’ve used it for everything from small freshwater trout to saltwater surf fishing. So far, I’ve landed three striped bass over 20 inches in the past 23 days with no issues. I’ve even had to rinse it in saltwater when it got covered in sand, and it’s shown no signs of rust. I always try to rinse my gear after fishing, but even on the days I forget, it still performs great. Not heavy, smooth reeling, casts great, and drag is solid either way this bigger fish.(3000 reel

This reel exceeded my expectations by a ton and for a few reasons1.for its size it holds a lot of braid and I mean a lot I put almost 300 yards of 50# braid plenty to get over the first 2 sandbars2. The smoothness was insane I had to look down just to make sure it was reeling in and not just a free spinning handle3 the size of the handle was perfect for the huge hands I have was worried since it was only a 6000 that it’d be small like a bass reel nope not at all4 ive got to touch back on smoothness of the reel in and a little on the power of this thing .I’ve caught gar fought them and destroyed reels but these had 0 issue basically yanking it out of the water and that’s with my tiny 7 yo doing the fishing without assistance from meHell of a first fish and one hell of a reel looking forward to doing a lot more serious fishing with these and quite possibly buying more

It's very nice , i usually buy name brand stuff but for a reel I'll use a week a rear I figured it would be good enough i just thought it would be bigger for my 12 ft surf rod but it will do

Lovely reel that I've pulled in my PB catfish with (35lb blue cat). I've dropped this completely submerged into the river several times now bank fishing and it's still working just fine, still retrieves butter smooth. The drag is nice, has no problem working out those 30+ lb catfish and letting em fight for a while and then dialing it in tight when your ready to finally get him on the bank.

Very nice reel. Spooled it with 30 lb braid and use it in the river for striped bass handled multiple 10+ lb stripers with ease drag works great casts very well with braid. Not sure what else to describe on this reel. I really like it. My fishing buddy caught a couple fish on it abd now he's buying one too.

It's a very nice looking reel, that's why I purchased it. While reeling in fish the handle/knob came off with the little screw and are now somewhere off Ft. Lauderdale beach.
