Handbag Looks Good
Project 20 year old loved large black Radley cross body bag much used but fair amount of front fading and wear on the corners. My concern was picking the correct product. The description indicated bags and small leather goods have now discovered they may do specific bag kit. **Method: I am a fairly neat worker but it is Important to protect work surface and use gloves. I stuffed out the bag for a good surface. The water test was a little slow to absorb but after using the cleaner to remove years of protector this improved. Followed instructions getting the sponge to foam by squeezing. Small item so removed any excess foam as went along avoiding dirt drying back on bag.Careful to apply in circular motion for complete coverage. After good 10 mins buffed with a soft old clean cotton flannel which kept the white flannel provided for a final buff to ensure I had removed any excess black. I shall be careful for some time and not use with light colour clothing until I am confident.Outcome: Bag still has the aged patina of older soft used leather but now looks very presentableThe only bump is this kit does not have a protector but after enquiry the company helpfully provided specific details of the handbag kit (Product Code - B00C6XR4V2) . The further cost maybe a pause for me and I chose this kit for the black balm so…under consideration. Seems a shame not to complete the project!I am a very pleased with the overall outcome.

Easy To Use Leather Restoration Kit
This product is easy to apply and use.Unfortunately for me, it's going to take a couple more applications to get the results I want. But one very noticeable blemish on our suite has just about vanished. So for that I give it 4 stars, but it's still a very good product.

Used to retore a Motorcycle Seat and it looks brand spanking new!
The black dye matches perfectly. My seat had faded to that pale grey due to weather and sun exposure as well as being a 19 year old seat. The dye and applicator are perfect. All i needed was 3 coats to give the seat a brand new look. Takes about a full day to cure properly. And just give one finally buff to remove any residue dye (othersise you'll ruin your perfectly good white daisy dukes) It's a shame the kit doesn't come with a leather protector just to complete the process.

Good and not so good
Did not work well on old dry pigskin leather. Was a bit patchy and did not make the leather surface cracks close up but did work very well on the scuff marks on my Porsche seats, they now look like new.

The sofa looks brand new
Made my couch look brand new however it does come off when you re wash the sofa. But there is more than enough product to continue the process and a lot cheaper than buying a new sofa. Overall I’m glad I bought it

Works but color transfers
Did great reviving my old black leather sectional BUT it came at a cost. Took a lot of wiping after dried and several weeks before the color/dye stopped transferring. Our white dog sleeps on this couch and months later we still find him with black dye patches.

The black was not as good as dark brown or medium brown
Having purchased this product in 2 different shades of brown, I was hoping the black would perform as well as the others. I bought the black balm as part of a package with a leather cleaner, sponge and cotton cloth. The kit comes in a heat sealed plastic bag. However, it was clear that the black balm had been partially used. There was balm smeared on the inside of the bag and on part of the lid. I thought it might have leaked, but when I opened the jar, it was clear the jar had been opened previously and was not full. The other jars of balm I bought previously were single items, the jar was tightly sealed and the balm volume was 99% of the jar. The jar that came in this package looked like someone had used a cloth to swipe out the lid in the first usage, but smeared some balm into the thread of the jar lid.I cleaned the bar stool seat with the cleanser and sponge as directed. It was okay. These stools are in the kitchen and take a beating. Food spills are evident. The cleanser did take up the gunk that fell between the leather and wood chair backing, but the leather felt "squeaky" clean. Other cleansers I've used on leather have something that seems to treat the leather so when you're done, the leather feels clean, but soft. This is almost like liquid soap mixed with water. I felt that if I didn't get the balm onto it quickly, the leather would dry out.The black balm was surprisingly ineffective in re-coloring the faded leather. I've only done one coat and buffed it out, though. Still, with the dark brown, I only needed one application. The medium brown needed 2 coats, but I think that was because the leather I was treating was between medium and dark. The medium brown has more red tone, which is what I needed. Back to the black, the first coat did not appear to penetrate in areas that were the most faded. These are the along the back of the cushion and are exposed through the chair frame. They do not get abraded from sitting, but are exposed to sunlight. The seat area that gets the most use and feels more worn absorbed the color better, but not as well as one would expect for black. Also, unlike the two previous jars I had, the leather did not feel conditioned after buffing. I'm going to clean the other bar stools with the cleanser I used with the brown balms. That cleanser is made by a different manufacturer. If I get a different result, I will update the review. It could be that the cleanser that came with this package simply did not prep the leather as well as my other cleanser. Unfortunately, when you buy the balm on Amazon as a single product, black is not available. Amazon only sells the black in this package.

Do it yourself restoration
I bought a secondhand lamb skin designer leather jacket (very cheap). It was hung in sunlight. It had a lot of fading on one arm, and clearly was never treated. It had fading everywhere else too. I found a video on this product when looking up how to clean and restore. I bought this and the cream protector. I figured if I ruined the jacket, oh well. It was cheap enough. This product saved the jacket. It was a little work, but worth it. My jacket is so soft, the color is now solid. It looks new. I wish I took before and after pictures. I will be using this on my shoes and bags too. I highly recommend this product. Just make sure you also get the final step - the cream protector too.

Product was fine, packaging was awful
Purchased this product to renew two black leather recliners that we've had for 10+ years. When the package arrived, it was obvious that the top to the recoloring balm was not tight and had leaked all over that container as well as the leather cleaner, cleaning cloth and application sponge. Thankfully, I could clean off everything without too much difficulty. Had to use a different cleaning cloth, and used an old towel that I had on hand.Be aware that if you spill a liquid on the renewed surface, some of the recoloring balm will come up when you wipe up the spill. I did a pretty good wipe down of the leather surfaces after applying the coloring balm, and allowed about 12 hours for the product to 'soak in' to the leather. Thankfully, it doesn't just rub off on your clothes.
