Great basic cleaning kit.Put 1 of these in each rifle case just in case any cleaning is necessary or I need to knock a stuck steel case out of the chamber. Good value for the money.An inexpensive and necessary addition to any well-stocked range kit. Just add other tips and brushes for other calibers. There's room in the pouch for a multi-tool too!

Its the exact same as the cleaning kit i used to keep in the buttstock of my old issued M16A2, only brand new

Just what I needed

Take a few minutes to find a military training video which uses this kit on You Tube. This kit is designed to Pull Through from breech to muzzle, NOT push. Separate upper and lower receiver. Remove BCG and Charging handle. Loosely screw together 2 or 3 rods and brush or patch loop. DROP the rods from the breech down the barrel. PULL the rods all the way through the barrel and out. The tool will spin in the rifling somewhat tightening the rods. Repeat 'till clean.My only complaint is that Consumer tools threaded 8/32 will not attach to these rods. When the brushes wear out you'll have to find mil spec replacements, find an adapter or replace the whole $10 kit.Pro-Shot No.8/36 Thread to Standard No.8/32 Thread Military Adaptor available from Amazon for $3. I did have to file down the "shoulder" above threads slightly to seat more deeply in the rods but it works.

I honestly love this piece of kit. It comes with everything that is necessary to properly field clean your rifle. My only complaint arises from the attachment system used. Molle would’ve been more practical, but that doesn’t mean that this deserves a lesser review. Great product.
