Awesome I love it and use it every day. I’ve had it 1 month already and love it more every day.
I just love my new Singer heavy duty 6600, it is so easy to learn I practice something new with different stitches every day. I love sewing and doing simple alterations for people. Since I have gotten my machine I have been able to put in 2 coat jacket zippers and do have coat sleeves for other people without this machine I would never have been able to do this with either of my 3 other regular machines. All I can say to a beginner or anyone is it is well worth the money just print yourself off the manual and enjoy teaching yourself just try one thing new each day and practice that until you are comfortable with it then try something else. Have fun and enjoy.

Junk
This lasted just a few hours and then started malfunctioning. More than that, it actually started sewing on it's own. Like it was possessed.

Pros and Cons to consider from this point of view:
Ok, first up - it doesn't do heavy demim(.) I don't care what needle you use or how you adjust your machine - no way. Very picky about feet but adaptable. PROS: light denim no problem, used heavy decorative thread to embroider and do on machine design work with various stitches. I was able to sew together two rather light denim hemmed pieces to make the child's apron in the photo. I love the machine for simple free embroidery as well. Will need to update my assessment I am sure at a future time. overall it is a fine first machine - this is the first machine I bought for myself - (at a retail outlet) - All around I am going to have to buy a heavy commercial quality machine to do jeans. For embroidery for general sewing I have the 6600C (not) HD!... that's my two cents.

Manual and One Step Buttonhole
I downloaded the manual but I have had to add a lot of notes from other sites because it isn't specific enough. Also, the computer must have a bug in it because I can't get it to sew forward using the One Stop Buttonhole foot. I have tried EVERY suggestion on the web to get it to work. The last Singer I had used the same type of foot to make button holes and I had no problem with it. I also have problems when backstitching the first few stitches. Every type of fabric always gets caught and the machine can't sew forward. I have owned Singer machines for over 40 years but the next will not be Singer.

Heavy duty? NOT!
The media could not be loaded. So this machine is advertised as heavy duty and it is not. Watch the video I submitted and you will see that it is an absolute piece of junk and I do not recommend it to anyone.
