Pretty quick start-up
A metal backing runs the length down one side of the tube, and the light comes out only the other side (probably about 120 degree angle) which is fine for use in most fluorescent fixtures. Power is applied directly to the pins on one end (no ballast). 22 watts, 2310 initial lumens, 5000K white, 80-83 CRI, 36,000 hour life, 5 year warranty. One thing that bothers me about the LED versions of T8 tubes is so many have a delay turning on. It's not like a fluorescent start up, where the tube gets brighter and brighter over several minutes. There's a period of time with no light, then it comes on at full brightness. Granted, the delay is short... usually under a second. However, that's long enough for me to start wondering if there's some problem (I flip on the light switch, nothing happens... is the bulb burnt out?... then it comes on. Ick!) So I have started measuring the start-up time for comparison purposes. This item, Shine Glory Lighting 1T8U-2250F (labeled Model: SH-Tube-22W1200 THSS) is one of the fastest I've tested so far. It takes 11/60 seconds (0.18 seconds) to turn on the first time (after sitting overnight, for example). If you turn it off and promptly turn it back on, it again takes 11/60 seconds (0.18 seconds) to turn on the second time (as close as I can measure using 60-fps video). These times are just about fast enough to not be noticed.Other fast tubes are LEDRadiant 4ft LED tube (labeled SKU:T4Z-LAF-18200) 4ft LED tube 1 End Connection 18W Frosted Lens 5,000K , which takes 11/60 seconds (0.18 seconds) to turn on the first time and 7/60 seconds (0.12 seconds) the second time. SunSun tubes (labeled SI-JT84G13N18-GL50 DLC) I got from a vendor (1000bulbs) that no longer carries them, but they seem to be available from another vendor Pkg. of 4 SunSun Lighting 4ft 18W LED T8, Full Glass Tube (5000K) . Their first turn-on was 1/4 seconds (0.25 seconds) and second turn-on was 7/60 seconds (0.12 seconds). In contrast, the MaxLite 72841 (labeled Model L18T8SE450) 1950 Lumens - LED - 4 ft. - 18 Watt - 5000K Stark White - Direct Wire - Maxlite 72841 , had a first turn-on of 2/3 seconds (0.67 seconds) and a second turn-on of 2/15 seconds (0.13 seconds). The PlusRite or NaturaLED #5773 (labeled LED18T8/FR19/850), also no longer available from 1000bulbs, had a first turn-on of 3/4 seconds (0.75 seconds) and a second turn-on of 1/2 seconds (0.5 seconds).

Fantastic! I had two commercial 4 bulb fluorescent ceiling fixtures in my family room. Trying to reduce my electrical consumption, I bought these four LED tubes and put only two tubes in place of the previous four. The wiring is simple and quick. And the result is better, brighter light. Granted, I bought the 5000k LED bulbs to replace the old soft white fluorescent bulbs, so that improves the light spectrum. Very happy!!

Very good quality
I chose this particular LED because it was rated at 22 watts and had the highest lumens output. The reason was that I wanted to use only one LED in each converted 4 ft. fixture. I figured that one LED would give ample light in my basement shop. I was correct. Very good quality bulb, good directions and easy to convert old fluorescent fixtures over to LED.

These bulbs are very bright put out light evenly. Converting the fixture was an easy job and now I won't have to pay for electricity being used by a ballast that isn't doing anything.

Bright and Efficient.
Well so far so good. Time will tell if they will last. Don't forget to remove the Ballast and rewire Neutral and Line wires (120v) to ONE side of the tube. The other pins on the other side is only to hold it up. Good price too (paid 47.50$ for 2 lamps)

Great light
Had them for about one month now. Very bright, clear light. Better than the fluorescent tubes they replaced. Using them in the shop and these are excellent for woodwork and fine detail work, again - better than the old fluorescents. Some folks complain about the one second delay on start up, but all my fluorescents take their sweet time to start up, longer than these - especially in the fall and winter.
