I took off one star because of how little product you get for your money and for how white-casty it is. But, it seems to be a good high-quality product that was formulated well. At least for very fair skin tones. Attached is a picture of my face one side with the sunscreen powder on and the other side completely bare except for lipstick and eyeliner (photo 1). I'm not wearing any primer, foundation, CC cream, BB cream, or concealer. I'm not particularly dark, but I'm definitely not white. If you are an in between skin tone this will be a gamble for you. It was for me, and I lost. So for anyone with a darker skin tone than fair I would pass on this product.But again, it's a good product otherwise. It goes on easily, it's comfortable to wear, it's mattifying if you like that sort of thing, and it does appear to give very good coverage, as you can see from the first photo.As a bonus to all of the good points, I tried to wipe it off with a wet wipe and it stayed on pretty well (photo 2). Even with a little bit of rubbing. I actually had to step up to micellar water to get it to come off.And lastly, for those of you who care, the last picture is an example of how good or not good the mirror on the top is (photo 3). It's doable, but not the level of detail that you want for touching up make up. But it could show you if you have something in your teeth.

I really need a good high SPF powder and this ISN’T it. It does cast a whiter shade on my skin and I’m pretty fair—but I honestly didn’t mind that. Bronzer can fix many issues. It’s the horrible, clumpy, strangely “sticky” texture. It’s not sticky in the traditional sense, but as I applied, it sort of stuck in places and skipped others. I tried applying heavy. I tried light. I tried the provided sponge, brushes, and beauty blenders. It just clumps in places and adheres to your underlayers of foundation/cream/sunscreen in a really gross way. Alone—it was fine. But with fair skin like mine—I’m not trusting my sun protection to powder alone. I wish to God I could return, but alas, even though it was a “prime” product...no go. Save yourself the time and disappointment. Use a good sunscreen gel and cushion spf foundation and embrace the dewier look—your protection and look will both be the better for it.

My mom used to joke that I was so pale I was clear. So it’s been a struggle to find sunscreens that offer enough protection yet don’t irritate my uber sensitive skin. My skin is so sensitive that I ended up in the ER recently when my face swelled up due to my regular cream sunscreen.This is a great option for me. The powder doesn’t irritate my skin, and because I’m so fair it actually matches my skin tone. I use it over a bb cream to take away some of the shine. I even used the powder on my arms, chest, and hair part line yesterday when I went strawberry picking. I’m pleased to report that I came home without burning as my usually pale self.Pretty much, if you are able to regularly buy drugstore foundation, this isn’t going to work for you. But for those of us who are clearer than Larry Bird, this will work beautifully.

Its a great product. I love the texture, the blotting action, the non-chemical formula. The big puff they give you is useless. It uses way too much powder for one application. A little goes a long way. Its hard to tap it off to reduce the amount on the pad. Unless you want to look like a powdered donut, I don’t recommend it. Grab a good quality brush and put a tiny corner into the powder. Then tap it all off into the cap. Now you can apply it more evenly and lightly sweep it across your face. If you need more, keep using from the cap. That said , it feel nice and you can keep reapplying throughout the day and it doesn’t seem to cake or build up. It does give you a whiter cast. Some may say you look brighter. I counter this by using a slightly darker foundation and I use this powder as my last finishing powder and often. Great price for how much you get!!! Definitely a keeper.Ps. I also had and old tiny loose powder container where the majority of the powder sits under a sifting plastic cover for light application. I poured this product in it to fit nicely in my purse for going out. Keep those old loose powder containers also for broken eyeshadows and powders. Easy to preserve and keep using them.

This is hands down the best face powder I've ever used. From the mixed reviews I think that it is for a very specific skin type and for those of us with that type its nearly impossible to find a suitable makeup or a sunscreen. I'll explain.My skin is quite pale and it's also oily. I've tried dozens of sunscreens but none of them have left me feeling like my face is clean. And most of them cause my makeup to look dreadful either immediately after application, showing the texture of the sunscreen settling into my pores. or I get the dreaded parts of my face wear off and migrate to other parts which is the reason I can't wear foundation.So onto the makeup part of the review. My solution to all of this has always been to wear powder foundations. With high SPF. This way there is no shininess, makeup migration or melting. And re applying is super easy as it's just a powder. BUT because my skin is so pale, I'm limited in my choices of what brands to use. I used to use Loreal Airwear but then it was discontinued. Then I wore Purestay until that was discontinued.All of the mineral type powders with SPF from various brands are either too dark, or sparkly giving me the dreaded shiny look. Then I found Healthy Wear by Physicians Formula and that worked out well but it was....discontinued. Leaving me with their other SPf powders, all of which are too dark or are sparkly shiny and wear off super fast.I"m not willing to go outside of drugstore range prices and try brands that are 30 dollars, there's just no way I"m doing that. So I ended up giving in and just finding a good powder foundation (Maybelline Better Skin) but it had no SPF in it. So I kept going through tube after tube of sunscreen hoping to find one that sat well under makeup. And what I found was that none of them did. Not only did I feel like I was clogging my pores with most of them, but even for the ones that seemed to not do that, and looked okay under the powder on immediate appiication, they still melted or wore off and left me looking like I had foundation melting off which I couldn't fix without removing the sunscreen.My final moment of humiliation came just as I found and ordered this Sunkill product. I could tell by the way it looked that it was mist likely going to be my holy grail product and I couldn;t wait to receive it. But I had a dental appointment before it arrived and I was a little apprehensive because I didn't know how badly my sunscreen and powder layers would migrate due to the dentists gloves and etc.Well, after the procedure I went to use the bathroom, and to my horror my entire upper face looked like a pale mask, due to the bottom half being wiped clean of the sunscreen and powder. I had what looked like red smears all over my lower face which was just my irritated skin showing after being rubbed so much. I thought, never again. And vowed never to use that sunscreen again in my life.Luckily, the next day I got the Sunkill, tried it and knew it was perfect for me. The shades perfect. Its pale but not white It has a slightly yellow or vanillla, or linen tone to it. But paler than other linen or vanilla shades you've probably seen before. This is because it is made for Korean skin tone. but if you happen to have this shade or even close to it then this makeup will be great for you.As far as the quality, beyond mere shade matching, this is why I"m so excited. Not only does it match, but this is the highest quality powder I've ever worn. It's the same price as the drugstore brands, but it's so finely milled it feels like silk powder going on. I've used both the sponge applicator to pat it evenly all over my face and a kabuki brush and gotten similar results.It's matte but not too matte. it is almost a bit dewy but not really. It seems like it had a luminessence that isn't shiny or sparkly. It does have mica in it, but it isn't giving me the shiny sparky look that other powders with mica in them do. I honestly don;t know how they achieve this and can only guess that it's the fine milling which must be making the mica so small that it doesn't look garish.So I've been wearing this for a few days and haven't given it a pure sunscreen test. Although I do live in Florida and have been outside with it on for 20 minutes at a time or so. But today I went back to the dentist, with only this on my face this time for both sunscreen and makeup and it was the ultimate test. It passed with flying colors. It did not wipe off my face which is amazing because that is what we would hope for with a powder that is a sunscreen.I also walked in over 90 degree super hot sunny weather for 10 minutes there and back and it didn't wear off. So for a makeup solution for pale oily skin it passes with flying colors. For a sunscreen solution for pale oily skin it passes as far as I know so far. I hope that it does protect with a 46 SPF. I will say that it took me a little practice as to how to apply it as the only source of sunscreen because my instinct was to cake it on to make sure I was covering. Then I used the kabuki instead and felt like I gave myself a layer and then went back and did another just to be sure.Another thing that I'll mention is that people are staring at me in a positive way when I go out places since I"ve been wearing this. I really think that it is giving me a look that I haven't gotten with other powders. It seems like it's the vanilla undertone, it just makes my skin look so much nicer than more white based or pink based makeup. And maybe the mica is causing a look that I"m not aware of but the stares aren't negative ones like I've gotten before when I inadvertently wore see through leggings.I've read the other reviews and I think that aside from those who don't match the shade that this is, the reason for some of the negatives is because people are doing what I was doing before I found this product. By layering sunscreen or some type of face cream underneath it. Don't do that. I see this as a product designed to answer the problem of how to layer sunscreen and makeup without looking ghastly, goopy or like a melting wax statue, I believe it's meant to be worn as is, alone on bare skin as both the sunscreen and the makeup. It looks great when worn this way. Maybe you could get away with a light non sticky serum under it but I'd recommend it on bare skin. And for oily skin. I believe this odd combination of skin type and color that has been so hard to find makeup and sunscreen for is who this powder was designed for. So I would guess my skin is similar to a Koreans and I had to find a Korean product in order to find my solution.But I love this powder and will continue using it as my makeup. If it turns out not to protect from the sun as much as I"d hoped Ill have to try using it over the dreaded sunscreens which hopefully I won;t need to do. But....here's an idea....maybe I will look for a Korean made sunscreen for my face and see how that works, if I need extra protection, Which I'm hoping not to.I once used an Origins foundation that had this same yellow pale undertone and it made my skin look amazing but it was a liquid so it was melty, had no sunscreen and was too expensive. I thought I"d mention it because this is the only other makeup I've found that has the same shade undertone to it.
