The healthier plants seemed less appealing to hungry bugs, which gave me some peace of mind.Convenient Caddy: The resealable bag makes it easy to store and use the fertilizer. I purchased this to use in my container plants. I have several columnar apple trees, Elderberries, Cherries, grapes and Jostaberries that are in large pots and raised beds. I had young apple trees that were going to over winter, so I added this in the fall. The next season, the trees did amazingly well, putting a small harvest out that fall. I reapplied this fall. I also applied to everything else. They are all now putting on new growth and looking very healthy. It seems to last quite awhile, and it is very easy to use. The speed of this seems to be good once it is watered in well.

I usually use Miracle Grow but this year wanted something better for the environment. I found Miracle Grow was easier to apply (simply add it to water vs. working these granules into the ground) and my vegetables grew more quickly with Miracle Grow than with this fertilizer. But I'm hoping this is better for the environment which makes it worth it. This also had a slight odor but washed easily off my hands. I'm going for an all organic garden this year. So far my vegetables are growing and look healthy!

I'm very pleased with this organic fertilizer. It's a 2-5-3 formulation that is excellent for a wide range of vegetables. I augment it with fish fertilizer for veggies that need a nitrogen boost (such as leafy greens) but for everything else, this works very well. It's granular and easy to work into the ground (or pot/raised bed). As with any organic fertilizer there's a noticeable odor, but it's not bad at all.It's derived from bone meal, poultry manure and sulfate of potash. It also provides a good assortment of bacteria and fungi species to build and maintain a healthy soil environment. It is made in the USA.I've been a Jobes user for years and none of their products have ever fallen short of expectations. This is no exception -- five stars.

Loved the cost effective fertilizer option for my veggie starts. I have seen the difference in growth and quality of the plants which I used this on and the ones I didn’t. Very simple to use, I normally just sprinkle some in with my soil mixture when transplanting my starts. The only downside to the fertilizer is the smell. I grew up on a farms, so most smells don’t bother me. This stuff is very stinky, so I prefer to use it outside instead of in my indoor growing area.

This has been the only fertilizer i have used in my garden over the last 5 or 6 years across 2 different states and 3 different gardens. It has worked incredibly well in containers and raised beds as well as in ground. I have gotten beautiful fruit and veggies, healthy plants and great yields. It smells like organic matter (poop!) which is a good thing. I don't see any reason to look at any other fertilizer for my general gardening.
